ADLP: Describes desired pedagogy at AISK.

We use the following systems as tools.

  1. Rubicon Atlas: used to plan complete units of instruction. Incorporates a UbD design.

  2. Schoology: Learning management system used to interact with students and parents.

  3. PowerSchool: used to provide feedback to parents and students regarding student progress.



  4. MAP (Measures of Academic Progress): Computer adaptive interim assessment. Twice per year (Fall and Spring) in grades 3 to 9. Reading, Language Usage, Mathematics.
  5. ERB (Educational Records Bureau): AISK uses ERB writing assessments in grades 3 to 10. Based on 6 Traits of Writing.
  6. OCC (Online Curriculum Centre): contains IB curriculum, subject reports, exemplars and much more valuable information for all IB Diploma subjects.
  7. Fountas and Pinnell: AISK uses the F&P Benchmark Assessment System in the elementary and early middle school. One on one assessment that matches each students independent reading level to the "F&P Text Level Gradient"
  8. WIDA (stands for the 3 states that were involved in the development of the grant that started the program -Wisconsin WI, Delaware D and Arkansas A) used to assess English proficiency.
